I am very proud to say I have worked with Dr. Zell for 4 years. She is a dedicated professional who is passionate about her work, genuinely caring with her patients, generous with staff and always a leader. One of my favorite stories of working here is about a mother of a young patient who was not ready for treatment. The mother felt very at ease and was so appreciative of our time that she came back four hours later with a handmade gift and said, “I will never forget your kindness.” It’s stories like this, and hugs from patients, that make my day.
I have been a dental assistant for 26 years and smiles are everything to me. I love seeing a patient’s giant smile and how incredibly happy they are when their braces come off. Because each patient’s teeth are unique, every day presents something new or challenging. But one thing is for certain, I always have fun getting to know each patient on a personal level. I look forward to their next visit to find out about their sport, an exam, a wedding or a birth. I truly enjoy hearing about their lives, which in turn brings a smile to my face.
My work is very fulfilling to me because of the impact we make in our patients’ lives, helping to achieve the best smile possible for each one of them. I love that moment when they see their smile for the first time after their braces have been removed and the excitement on their face. Plus working with an awesome team makes it even more enjoyable, especially Dr. Zell. She is dedicated, compassionate and a perfectionist when it comes to creating a beautiful smile for each patient.
My mother was a major influence in my pursuit of orthodontics. For 35 years she worked in orthodontics, therefore I grew up being very familiar with the field. I was always captivated by orthodontics and, happily 15 years later, I still feel the same way. I love working with Dr. Zell. She educates the staff every day to make us better, while her gentle and complimentary nature makes us feel appreciated. I don’t have a favorite story or moment because every day is my favorite. When a patient has a great experience it shows in their smile, the gleam in their eye or their hug goodbye.
As a teenager, orthodontics changed my life. After years of treatment, I received the confidence to smile and the desire to work in the orthodontic field. I love the relationships that we build with our patients. They always seem so happy to see us. I especially love knowing I am part of a team that can be just as joyful and playful as our patients, but more importantly that we are helping to build their self-confidence together.
